Standard Distillation & Reaction Units

Goel Glass Inc. manufactures pre-engineered, modular Standard Distillation and Reaction Units designed for research institutions, pilot plants, and chemical manufacturing facilities. Fabricated from premium Borosilicate Glass (DIN ISO 3585 / ASTM E438 Type I, Class A), these standard assemblies provide complete visibility, exceptional corrosion resistance, and operational flexibility across synthetic and purification workflows.

  • Operating Thermal Conditions: Suitable for process temperatures from -50°C to +200°C with maximum thermal shock differential ΔT ≤ 50°C.
  • Vacuum & Pressure Rating: Designed for full vacuum service down to 1 mbar abs up to +0.5 bar g positive pressure.
  • Heating Medium: Available with electric heating mantles, oil heating baths, or jacketed reactor vessels for fluid circulators.
  • Framework & Mobility: Mounted on rigid 304 stainless steel tubular structures with optional lockable caster wheels for mobility.

Your frequently asked question

Selecting the ideal unit depends on your required batch volume (10L to 100L), boiling temperatures, required vacuum levels, separation sharpness (simple flash vs. multi-stage fractionation), and whether simultaneous chemical addition and stirring are needed. Our process engineers review your recipe and solvent properties to recommend the optimal vessel geometry, condenser area, and column packing height.

Our units incorporate weight-operated glass relief valves or burst disc protection against overpressure, thermal limit sensors on heating baths/mantles, leak-tight PTFE bellows seals, grounding clips on stainless steel support structures to dissipate static charges, and optional transparent protective safety shielding for high-traffic pilot plant environments.

Yes. All Goel Glass standard distillation units and components are precision-ground and tested for full vacuum operation down to 1 mbar abs. Twin receiver configurations allow operators to empty collected fractions without breaking system vacuum during continuous distillation runs.

Due to standardized buttress and spherical ground flanges (conforming to ISO 3585 / BS EN 1595), components can be quickly interchanged or expanded. Adding extra packed column sections, phase separators, feed pre-heaters, or instrument tees can be done without modifying the primary stainless steel tubular frame.
